Some shots of the new back deck (for mum and dad) makes a huge difference and the kids love it!

Open up and say ahhhh!!!!!

The boys had their 3 year and 18 month check ups on the same day. It's always fun to see how they are growing and how far they have progressed since the last checkup.
Aidan is 37 inches tall which is in the 50-75th percentile and 29 lbs which is in the 50th percentile. He actually lost weight recently as he has been so active swimming and running this summer. I always worry if he is growing to his potential due to his very limited diet but he has consistantly stayed on his growth curve. He is always somewhere in the middle and will probably end up around 5ft 10 or so they estimate. He is a "skinny chicken" as I call him but has started to do a little better with his eating and we just keep pushing the calories. I don't think I'll ever have to worry about him being overweight which is great, we just want him to be healthy and happy and hopefully one day allergy free! Aidan just participated in a "baked milk" challenge. He ate cupcakes baked with cow's milk. He ate a total of 1 muffin, or a total of about 1 tablespoon of baked milk but developed a slight rash around his mouth. He had to eat 2 whole ones before it was considered successful so they decided to stop it and do it again in a few months. They were very encouraged by the results though. About 70% of kids with milk allergy can tolerate baked milk, this means that the milk protein when baked at a high temp for a period of time will break down enough for the body to accept it. He is at an early age to try this test and that is also a good sign. He can now eat foods that are labelled as being processed near or may contain milk. This means not foods with milk in them but made closely to milk that may contain traces of milk and he should be ok. A small step but it actually does open a lot of foods to him. Hopefully the next step will be to eat foods with baked milk. Any progress is good progress to us! Jack Jack was 32 and 1/4 inches which is in the 50th percentile for height and 24 odd lbs which is the 25th percentile. He still has a really large head in the 97th percentile! Jack is finally walking fulltime!!! He walked first at 15 months then slowed down. He would walk at home but crawl whenever nervous or if he was away from home. We knew he could do it but it took for him to gain more confidence to forget about the crawling! He is however my talker! He only really talks at home (of course) but is very very verbal. He has shown mild allergy signs, not sure to what though. He gets a rash from strawberries and has had contact hives on his legs after dinner but we haven't done anymore testing on him yet, hopefully soon. All in all they are very healthy, happy and ACTIVE boys!
